This is just a quick update so I don’t end up rambling on at the start of some other poor soul’s lovingly created blog post and bore you all to tears before you get to read it.
I asked on Twitter for some guest bloggers with other mental health disorders (that is, other than the depression and anxiety that I bang on about all the time). The response has been amazing – slightly overwhelming, if I’m completely honest. Nevertheless, I am touched and humbled by how many people have offered to write a guest blog post for me.
I have been conscious throughout my blogging journey that not every mental health problem gets treated the same as the next. It’s becoming more common for people to be able to speak out about having depression or anxiety, but some experiences are still under-represented in the conversation. Including the stories of others in my blog seems like the least I can do to represent those in the blogging community who live with the disorders that still tread cautiously within the wider conversation.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be uploading one guest post a week. These stories will be unique but united in their purpose.
I should probably think of a snazzy name for the series, but in the mean time, I really hope you all enjoy the posts.
Thank you in advance to everyone who has been in touch. You are all amazing.
